Sustainable practices are often a one-size-fits-all solution to modern problems, typically driven by technological advances. However, sustainability can no longer serve as the baseline—we must develop systems that restore, connect, and improve both the physical and psychological worlds. This design/research experiment challenges designers to adopt a new mindset, one where every decision influences every interconnected system, and every intervention must create improvement across them all.
PLACE
The fragmented landscape is brought back, the abstracted white bar represents the disconnect in living systems in the landscape. The concept map below begins to explore how the existence of the systems are not perfect and full of integrity but instead are chaotic and currently on a path of further disconnect. Finally the grid lines superimposed over the whole represent regenerative developments capacity to reconnect all these systems and asnwer the concerns of the stakeholders
